
We are excited to meet you from March 10 to 12, 2026 at the JEC World Composite 2026 in Paris Nord Villepinte. We will have the pleasure to introduce our ceramic composite materials resistant to flames and extreme temperatures.
Who we are?
Pyromeral Systems is a French SME specialized in the development and production of ceramic composite materials for high temperature applications, and the manufacture of components from these materials.
The parts made from our technologies are resistant to fire and high temperatures according to the ISO 2685 and UL 2596 (Torch and Grid test). They can replace metal in hot spot areas, to optimize weight and improve performance.
What do we manufacture?
Our expertise has been demonstrated in the following areas for more than 20 years:
- In Motorsport, we produce heatshields for brake systems (between 400°C and 900°C). Our parts protect locally against the risk of overheating while allowing temperature maintenance of the braking system. The very low weight of our components makes them an essential asset in motorsport.
- In Defense applications, for example, we produce exhaust systems for drones. Our materials constitute an alternative to Titanium and Inconel’s in hot spot area, causing weight savings and allows for increasing either the payload of vehicles or their range of action. Also, some of our materials are transparent to electromagnetic waves, which allows their use as lightweight and mechanically resistant radomes, for example for supersonic vehicles.
- For the new mobilities eVTOLs, (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing), Pyromeral materials resist to thermal runaway of batteries and are considered to be a constituent elements of battery casings. They have notably demonstrated their performance in the context of UL2596 test (Torch and Grid test). They are qualified for flight and in the pre-industrialization phase in the United States and studied in the prototype phase in Europe and Japan.
- In New Space, we will reveal to you the advances of Pyroxide solutions. Use as thermal protection for space vehicles during atmospheric re-entry. Parts are reusable to make several space travels without damage. In this case, the Pyroxide is a great asset for its extreme thermal endurance, the versatility of manufacturable geometries and the achievable surface quality (aerodynamics).
Our materials (PyroKarb, PyroSic and PyroXide) have the following performances:
- They are 2 times lighter than Titanium and 4 times lighter than Steel and Inconels.
- They are highly resistant to flames and extreme temperatures being able to go up to 1300°C (or even beyond).
- After exposure to high temperatures, our materials retain their full mechanical properties.
